150 COLORADO BLVD.
Asset Class: Office
Role: General Partner, Developer & Manager
Built: 1979
Status: Sold 1984
The former black-glass office building at 150 E. Colorado Boulevard, Pasadena, California was a modernist commercial structure completed in 1979. Located at a prime intersection in the city’s historic core, the three-story building featured reflective dark glass curtain walls that mirror the surrounding trees and neighboring architecture. Its minimalist design and clean horizontal lines exemplify late-20th-century corporate style, contrasting with nearby historic façades along Colorado Boulevard. Over the years, it has housed professional offices and retail tenants, benefiting from high visibility and walkable access to Old Pasadena’s restaurants, shops, and transit connections along the city’s main commercial corridor. The office building also featured a distinctive public art feature by artist Jean Wolff; L'Entreinte (The Embrace) which was an eight-foot high bronze sculpture on a blue granite base prominently situated along Colorado Boulevard.
