Campanile, co-founded by chefs Mark Peel and Nancy Silverton, opened in 1989 and quickly became a culinary landmark in Los Angeles, helping to define California cuisine for over two decades. Housed in a historic Charlie Chaplin building, its stunning Italianate courtyard and signature bell tower gave it a unique village atmosphere. The critically acclaimed menu championed a distinctly American approach using top-quality farmers' market ingredients, with a particular focus on the wood-fired grill.
